After 60 years serving the citizens of Mobile, Thursday night the old Mobile Civic Center Theatre saw its last production.
"Play It Just One More Time" was a dance tribute to the theater, which is expected to be torn down this summer to make room for a new Mobile Civic Center Complex. There were also several tributes, including Carol Graham, who operated a school of dance in Mobile for 54 years, as well as the legendary Mary Lou Sheffield, whose school of dance has taught the craft to more than 25 thousand local youth.
