In this week’s North Royalton Police Blotter, police observed a weaving dark-colored Ford driving northbound on Ridge Road.

The vehicle was driving in a weaving course, as well as upon the fog line. While talking to the Broadview Heights driver, the officer smelled alcohol.

Asked how much he had to drink, the man said, “Pretty good,” “I have been fine,” and “So, what’s up?”The resident said he was at a bar. After failing a field sobriety test, during which he lost his balance, the man was arrested for drunken driving.On Sept. 24, police observed a gray Volkswagen stop briefly in the middle of a Bennett Road intersection.

The woman, who smelled like marijuana and had an open container of beer in the driver’s door compartment, said she was headed home after visiting a friend in Brunswick.The woman also admitted to having a few sips of beer and smoking marijuana a few hours earlier. When asked if there was anything else in the VW, she acknowledged having some “powder” folded up in a dollar bill located inside of her purse.
