Letters to the Editor
Readers offer ways to save water in Texas; disagree with the editorial supporting Morgan Meyer; dislike the ad bring run by Ted Cruz; and are sad that Bob the goat died.Re: “We’re thirsty — One solution for North Texas: Ask Oklahoma for more water,” by Rob Curran, and “Caddo Lake’s management model is simple, sensitive,” by William McKenzie, Sunday Opinion.
We may not agree on all issues, but we should want individuals who will become our leaders to possess these basic qualities. Just think about it. You know who these individuals are. So, do the right thing. Voting is your civic duty as an American. To do nothing is not a choice.Usually I tune out and turn down the volume on political advertisements I see on TV. Not because I am not politically minded, but because they do not sway my vote.
I am surprised the networks would allow this to air. Do they not have a choice when it comes to political ads? Is this the new normal? Or do they only care about making money?Everyone involved in making this ad should be ashamed. All those who have viewed it should be shocked and dismayed. Why is an ad that depicts violence towards children OK?
