Meanwhile, it’s still winter, and after sunset, temperatures drop rapidly into the low 60s under clear skies by midnight before bottoming out in the low 50s. Fog development will start east of US 301 before moving inland overnight; dense fog will take over after 2 a.m. when the dew point and temperature meet around 53 degrees. Humidity will be 100% by sunrise and along with calm winds, expect another morning of thick fog during your commute. On Wednesday, once the fog burns off, temperatures climb back into the low 80s during the day in Northeast Florida and upper 70s in Southeast Georgia.
