A woman reported June 3 that she could not find her wallet and believed she last had it when leaving Walmart the previous night. Officers reviewed surveillance video from the store and determined that the woman had left the wallet in her motorized shopping cart and two employees took it when retrieving the cart.

Officers reviewed surveillance video from the store and determined that the woman had left the wallet in her motorized shopping cart and two employees took it when retrieving the cart. The employees subsequently returned a total of $470 to officers and said they split the money and threw the wallet in a trash can by a bus stop in front of the store.

The wallet was retrieved from the trash and returned to the woman along with the cash. She chose not to press charges bur Walmart management chose to fire the two men.Responding officers learned that the two were in the process of a divorce and the man had accidentally hit the woman while he was throwing his personal belongings around in the basement.Domestic violence: East Antisdale Road
