The two Euclid officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative duties, per the department’s policy and procedure.
EUCLID, Ohio - The 39-year-old Euclid man shot by police Wednesday was armed with a handgun and is believed to have shot a woman moments before the encounter with officers, said Euclid Police Captain Mitch Houser.Captain Houser said officers were called out to Simms Park in the 23100 block of Lakeshore Blvd. around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of shots fired.
Parham allegedly began walking backwards away from police and then turned and reached for a handgun in his waistband. Parham was wanted by Euclid police for a felonious assault on the same woman that happened on May 17. Captain Houser said shots were also fired during that incident.)
