Make your choice for the top performance among girls high school athletes from March 23-28

For the entire academic year, we will provide a list of candidates who stood out over the previous week and allow you, the reader, to vote for the winner.Vote as many times as you’d like until then without using bots or any other artificial methods of voting.

Winners are announced each Friday online and in the print edition of the Mercury News and East Bay Times sports sections. Candidates for future Athlete of the Week polls can be nominated at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com.The sophomore threw a five-inning no-hitter in Clayton Valley’s 10-0 win over James Logan. She also pitched five innings with one run allowed on six hits in the Ugly Eagles’ 15-1 win over Encinal.The junior racked up four hits and added a pair of RBIs as Dublin knocked off Foothill 10-8 in East Bay Athletic League action. She added a double in a loss to Livermore.Gracey was prolific for Logan at the plate, driving in six runs in the Colts’ win over American and plating three more in their victory against Kennedy-Fremont. She hit three doubles against American and added a home run against Kennedy. The junior also pitched 2 ⅓ innings against American, conceding one run and a hit with three strikeouts and a walk.The senior scored a pair of goals each in two wins over Priory and added three total assists, also assisting once in a loss to Notre Dame-San Jose.The senior Northwestern signee drove in four runs with a pair of triples in a win over Dublin and added a hit in a win over Amador Valley.The senior Stanford signee had a stellar week, pacing the Knights to wins over Los Altos, Carmel and Stevenson with 26 draw controls, including 11 in a win over Stevenson.St. Francis completes sweep of Mitty behind Kyle McMillan’s pitching gem The senior had a strong two-way week at the plate, drove in six runs while collecting seven hits. In the circle, she pitched 16 innings with no earned runs allowed and 32 strikeouts as Pinole Valley went 3-0 with wins over Northgate, St. Mary’s-Berkeley and El Cerrito.The senior continued a stunning run of scoring to start the season, netting 12 goals in a 16-13 win over Aragon and eight in a 13-4 win over Valley Christian.
