Make your choice for the top performance among boys high school athletes from March 23-28

For the entire academic year, we will provide a list of candidates who stood out over the previous week and allow you, the reader, to vote for the winner.Vote as many times as you’d like until then without using bots or any other artificial methods of voting.

Winners are announced each Friday online and in the print edition of the Mercury News and East Bay Times sports sections. Candidates for future Athlete of the Week polls can be nominated at highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com.Quinton Hill, Berkeley baseball:The junior scored the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh inning in Miramonte’s 1-0 win over San Rafael.Duncan Lorang, Willow Glen track and field:Marks struck out 16 and allowed two hits in a complete-game performance in Washington’s 14-0 win over Mission San Jose.At the West Bay Athletic League meet, Onyejekwe won the 100-meter dash in 10.98 and 200 in 21.96, breaking the school records set in 2013.Bay Area News Group girls athlete of the week: Hayley Maravillas, Hillsdale lacrosseCooper Santamato, Terra Nova baseball: Santamato struck out five and allowed an earned run across five innings in Terra Nova’s 3-1 win over Sequoia.Tse ran a Central Coast Section-leading 110-meter high hurdles time of 13.94 at the West Bay Athletic League meet, where he also won the 100-meter race in 10.76 and the 200 in 21.58.
