Long before online scamming took place, some scammers approached you personally at malls, train stations, or tourist spots and convinced you to pay for donations or to purchase pirated goods at a high price.
Online scamming is undeniably the highlight now for its convenience, but some perpetrators are still physically and personally approaching targeted victims. Just recently, a video showing 2 scammers, allegedly from ChinaThe man who recorded the video was then approached by another woman who tried to look at what he was recording.He then approached the elderly and asked if the women were asking for money from him, to which the uncle nodded.
Just yesterday , Resorts World Genting commented on the original post in the Facebook group and assured the public that the visitors’ safety is their priority. They added that as of yesterday morning, the police had arrested 4 individuals from the scam syndicate. “We have spotted 4 scam suspects, and the police is currently handling the matter,” Resorts World Genting said.
In the meantime, the organisation said that the security officers at the place will always monitor the activities that happen there.
