KUALA LUMPUR: Environment Minister Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man has called for all racist and personal attacks towards a journalist to stop.
"I disagree with any personal attacks towards a reporter. Mistakes, misinterpreted information that strayed from the actual context are common," the PAS deputy president said in a Facebook post, adding this should be handled in a more professional manner.Malaysiakini had reported that its journalist Kow Gah Chie was being harassed on Facebook over an article she wrote about Tuan Ibrahim defending logging in Kelantan.
The article was based in an interview after the press conference, where a group of reporters spoke to the minister.
