A traveler on Reddit shared a clever way to encourage fellow passengers to clean up after themselves on flights.
A traveler shared a tip on social media for dealing with fellow passengers who don't dispose of their trash properly on flights. The traveler, who posted in the 'r/SouthwestAirlines' forum, noticed an 'alarming amount of people' not handing their trash to flight attendants before landing. To address this, the user suggested saying, 'Hey, I think you left your AirPods in the setback pocket,' which encourages passengers to acknowledge the trash.
The user reported a 50% success rate with this tactic. Southwest Airlines was contacted for comment. Users in the comments section offered various solutions, ranging from guilt trips to simply accepting that some people will be inconsiderate.
