A tornado warning has been issued Thursday night for northern Collin County. The alert is set to expire at 10:15 p.m.issued for dozens of North and Central Texas counties Thursday afternoon. A severe thunderstorm warning was issued about 9:30 p.m. for parts of North Texas that include Frisco, McKinney, Denton and Little Elm. It will expire at 10:30 p.m.
The watch covers 33 counties including Collin, Dallas, Denton, Tarrant and Rockwall. It will expire at 10 p.m. A watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form, while a warning means a tornado is currently happening.for isolated to scattered storms in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with an increased risk for severe storms in cities to the north, such as Paris and Gainesville, the National Weather Service said.
