A Toledo man, Steven Ford, has been sentenced to six years in prison after being convicted of abduction and felonious assault. He was indicted on multiple charges including domestic violence and strangulation after allegedly assaulting a woman and preventing her from leaving a vehicle.
TOLEDO , Ohio - A Toledo man, who was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a woman and would not let her leave, has been sentenced. On Dec. 30, 2025, a Lucas County grand jury indicted Steven Ford on charges of abduction, felonious assault, domestic violence , strangulation and violating a protection order.
Police allege that on Dec. 23, Ford pulled a woman out of a car by her throat and hair, threw her on the ground and started beating her. He then allegedly pushed the woman back in the car and drove around with her, refusing to let her leave. Ford was convicted of abduction and felonious assault.
