A Burnet man will spend the next 25 years behind bars after pleading guilty to stalking and possessing child pornography earlier this month. On March 3, 40-year-old Joseph Alan Taylor pled guilty to two felony counts of stalking and a single charge of possessing over 500 images of child pornography.

The suspect's cell phone was seized by Burnet police to obtain evidence supporting the stalking accusation. Forensic analysis of the phone revealed the stalking evidence; it also uncovered more than 500 images of child pornography.Taylor chose to waive his right to continue a jury trial after jury selection, pleading guilty to the charges and waiving all rights of appeal. The judge sentenced Taylor to 5 years in prison for each charge of stalking and 25 years in prison for possession of child pornography.
