Basketball: Mens Basketball took down Arizona State 71-56. This season opener was a great opportunity for the Bulldogs to come out strong against the Sun Devils. Transfer guard Trey Fort put up 21 points, leading the team in scoring. Mississippi State ended the half on a 30-8 run with a buzzer-beater by guard Dashawn Davis. Mississippi State starters took advantage of their possessions and ran the clock down to secure a big win.

Volleyball: The Bulldogs took a loss to South Carolina at home in Newell-Grissom stadium. The first two sets went to Gamecocks 25-21 and 30-28. South Carolina took the third set with a 27-25 victory. The Bulldogs are now 11-13 overall and 4-10 in conference play, while the Gamecocks are 10-13 overall and 4-10 in SEC play. The Bulldogs will play again Wednesday, Oct. 15 against No. 24 Auburn. The game is set to serve at 6PM on SEC Network+.

The MSU soccer team added seven new players onto the team during National Signing Day. Kara Harris, Sierra Bergen, Ellie Pitts, Lauren Taylor, Leah Varela, Charlotte Grim, and Kennedy Husbands have secured their spots as Bulldogs. Head coach James Armstrong and his coaching team celebrate as they prepare for next season with these excellent additions to the team.
