U.S. Centers for Disease Control and PreventionThe CDC ranked states and the District of Columbia by life expectancy using data from the National Center for Health Statistics and the National Vital Statistics System. The most recent data available was from 2020.
Texas landed in the bottom half, ranking 30, with an overall life expectancy of 76.5 years. For women it is 79.3, and for men it is 73.7 years. Life expectancy was higher for women in all states and the District of Columbia.State rank by longest life expectancy
