PETALING JAYA: Debutants Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei continued their brilliant run in the World Championships when they reached the mixed doubles quarter-finals in Copenhagen on Thursday.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei came from a game behind to beat seventh seeds Thom Gicquel-Delphine Delrue of France 20-22, 21-19, 21-12 in the third round which lasted for 74 minutes.
They will face the winners of the match between second seeds Yuta Watanabe-Arisa Higashino of Japan and Indonesians Rehan Naufal-Lisa Ayu.The world No. 17 Tang Jie-Ee Wei are the only Malaysian mixed pair left standing in the field.
