CINCINNATI - A new study by a financial-advice website found that folks in the Tri-State aren't too happy., comparing all 50 states across 30 different metrics to determine its findings. None of Ohio , Kentucky or Indiana were in the top half: Indiana was ranked No. 36, Ohio was at No. 40 and Kentucky was at No. 41.
Hawaii was at the top of the rankings with Maryland second and New Jersey third. Utah and Delaware rounded out the top five. New Mexico, Tennessee, West Virginia and Arkansas were in the bottom five with Louisiana deemed the least-happiest state. The data ranged from states' depression rates to income growth and the unemployment rate. WalletHub compared all 50 states across three dimensions: emotional & physical well-being, work environment, and community & environment. The three dimensions were graded using the 30 metrics, grading each one on a 100-point scale, with 100 being maximum happiness.
Indiana ranked fairly well at No. 23 in community & environment. But work environment was quite low at No. 41.Kentucky was bottom ten in emotional & physical well-being , and work environment .
