Stephen A. Smith shot back at some criticism he received this week.

During Friday’s edition of the ESPN morning show, Smith attributed the Patriots’ defensive success this year to defensive coordinator Terrell Williams. Williams has been away from the team since Week 2 dealing with prostate cancer.

“First Take” removed the clip of the conversation from their X account. But Smith took it upon himself to double down on the comment.. “First of all, we reported earlier in the year that he was out due to Prostate Cancer when it happened. Secondly, he still talks to coaches for game-planning purposes.
