SpaceX's highly anticipated launch of its Starship rocket has been delayed due to last-minute technical problems. The company hopes to overcome the issues and attempt another launch soon.

Last-minute technical difficulties caused a launch delay on Monday for SpaceX's colossal rocket, Starship , which was attempting a return to flight following an explosion during its previous test. The countdown reached the 40-second mark before being abruptly halted due to issues with the 403-foot (123-meter) rocket, the world's largest and most powerful. Starship was scheduled to launch from the southern tip of Texas carrying four mock satellites for a suborbital test flight.

SpaceX stated that if the problems can be rapidly resolved, another launch attempt could be made on Tuesday. The previous Starship demonstration ended in an explosion over the Atlantic in January, with fiery debris streaking across the Turks and Caicos islands.Starship has already been contracted by NASA for astronaut moon landings later in the decade. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk envisions utilizing these massive rockets to establish a human presence on Mars.
