A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Tuesday, as snow is expected to hit southern portions of the ABC 6 viewing area.Light snow south on Tuesday, cold and dry midweek, then more snow to end the workweek.
Good Tuesday morning! We’re waking up with temps in the mid-20s, and it’s the warmest morning in 12 days. We warm up to a high around 30 with cloudy skies today. Snow showers swing into Ohio this morning and stick around through the early afternoon before moving out. This mainly impacts southern Ohio, where 1–3 inches of snow is possible and a Winter Weather Advisory has been issued. Not as much snow is expected in Central Ohio, maybe a trace up to 1 inch. Even areas like Ross, Hocking, and Athens Counties look closer to 1–2 inches today, so the 1–3 inch totals would be more likely in far southern Ohio. Light winds out of the southwest this morning shift to the northwest later today. Quiet and cold midweek. We will have a mix of sun and clouds Wednesday with morning temps dipping to around 10, then warming to a high around 24 with light north winds. More clouds Thursday with similar temperatures. A quick clipper brings more light snow across Ohio Friday. Right now, it looks like a couple of inches are possible with a high around 35, so we may see some wintry mix or slushy snow with this round.Temps dive colder Saturday, then we slowly warm heading into next week. Saturday will be partly cloudy with a morning low around 5, then warming to a high around 18. Mostly cloudy Sunday with a few flurries or very light snow showers as we warm back to a high around 24. Monday warms to around 26 with partly cloudy skies. High temps are expected to reach the 40s later next week.
