For the band director, Randy Woods, music is only part of the mission.
EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Shaw High School Band in East Cleveland is hitting all of the right notes. They’ve been invited to perform in Hawaii for the 2024 Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade and 80th anniversary of WWII commemoration.
“I’ve been playing the trumpet for three years almost four. It keeps me on track, it keeps me focused. Because you need to be committed and focused”, said 12th grader Allie Holliday-Cadette.
