The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center has identified central Kentucky through central Ohio as the area with the highest risk of severe thunderstorms on Tuesday. This area, including Louisville, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus, has a Level 4 out of 5 risk for severe storms. The center predicts the possibility of tornadoes, large hail, and damaging gusts in this zone. There is also a threat of strong tornadoes in parts of Alabama and Georgia .
Tornado watches are in effect for middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky, southeastern Missouri, southern Illinois, southwestern Indiana, and western Kentucky
