In a bit of a pickle, but the good kinds.
Just a heads-up to anyone making this, you'll need more than 1 quart jar for this recipe. The brine itself measures over 1 quart before adding the cucumber.Clearly the prior reviewer cannot read much. Lemme highlight. . . . "Let cool. Pour brine over cucumbers in jar; cover and chill.
"The recipe specifies cucumber slices at 1/2” thick, but the slices in the photo are no where near that thick. I would guess 1/8” is more accurate?I haven't tried these yet but am super confused- the description is that they are a cold brine but the directions are to boil all of the ingredients for the brine- wouldn't that make it a traditional pickle brine?

Cheesy Smash Burgers With Bacon & Poblano Salsa Recipe on Food52Smash burgers are all the rage right now. Their appeal lies in the crispy, browned, uneven edges of the burger patty. They also cook super-quickly, which is always a plus when you’re grilling for the whole family. These burgers are made even more special by the tangy pickled onions and poblano salsa that are draped and slathered over top. Roasting the poblanos and tomatillos may seem a little fussy, but the smoky, complex resulting flavor is a reward that’s well worth the effort. The 100% Whole-Wheat Sandwich Bun from Arnold®, Brownberry®, and Oroweat® are soft, yet hearty enough to hold it all together.
