The 29-year-old appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday and pled guilty to threatening or abusive behaviour.Fiscal depute Cheryl Porter said the man and woman, who were McGregor’s neighbours, drove away after she broke the car window and police were called. Defence agent David Storrie said the pair had driven up to his client’s house and were shouting and swearing at her.He said mother-of-one McGregor “told them to go away from her window” before going downstairs with the hammer and carrying out the attack.Sheriff John Cook told McGregor: “Clearly there was a degree of provocation but you really didn’t need to go out with a hammer.
