Six police cars arrived at the residential property in East Lothian after being alerted to the tragedy.
Officers scrambled to the scene at Craig Avenue, Haddington in East Lothian around 4pm on Wednesday, September 27 after being alerted the sudden death of a 52-year-old.
Police Scotland have confirmed that their enquiries remain ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course, reports Edinburgh Live. The woman's next of kin have been informed. Bystanders explained how around six police cars raced to the street and forensic officers scoured the property.Top news stories today A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.55am on Wednesday, 27 September, 2023, we were made aware of the sudden death of a 52-year-old woman at a property in Craig Avenue, Haddington."
They added: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. Next of kin have been informed. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
