EXCLUSIVE: My Mum, Your Dad star Natalie Russell reveals the real reasons behind her shock split from Paul Edwards - and quashes rumours that distance was the problem
My Mum, Your Dad star Natalie Russell, 44, was one of the last couples standing on the show, finding a true connection with fellow contestant, Paul Edwards, 47. Yet according to Natalie, in the wake of their shock split their paths just "didn't align in the real world."
She said: "I won't go into huge detail about our split because I think that for both of us, it is really respectful to not. I'm big on not airing people's dirty laundry but sometimes things just don't align. I had an experience there and for me, it was so genuine. Sadly, real life dating didn't work out for the pair. "In the real world you have to really get to know each other, and sometimes you just work out that it's best to do life separately."
"I wouldn't spend every day with him chatting away to him on the phone, because that wouldn't be respectful of the next person that came along but would we have a laugh if we went to social events together? Absolutely! We had a real laugh on our whole journey."
