The famed morning show host has finally revealed her plans regarding her future with the “Today” show.
In a tearful interview with longtime colleague Hoda Kotb, Guthrie said that returning is part of her purpose.“I can’t come back and try to be something that I’m not. But I can’t not come back because it’s my family,” she said.
“I don’t know if I can do it. I don’t know if I’ll belong anymore, but I would like to try. I would like to try.” Guthrie added that she isn’t going to be the same as before. “Maybe it’s like that old poem, ‘More beautiful in the broken places,” she said.show as a place of “joy and lightness,” saying that the joy she shows will be her protest.
