There have been 99 recorded COVID-19 cases in Sampaloc while 159 are suspected cases, according to the Manila Health Department.

The order will be enforced from 8 p.m. Thursday, April 23 until 8 p.m. Saturday April, 25, Moreno said Tuesday in a statement. During this period, health officials will conduct"disease surveillance, testing and rapid risk assessment," he added. Violators will be placed in designated detention facilities - such as in Barangays 420, 424, 463 and 581 - during the entire lockdown period, the mayor warned, to prevent the possible spread of the disease in jails and precincts.
