Nectar members can earn the extra points by completing personalised fruit and vegetable portion tasks until September 17.
Sainsbury's is offering anyone who is signed up to its Nectar loyalty scheme the chance to earn up to an extra 1,000 points over the next seven weeks.
To gain the points boost, cardholders can simply join the challenge via the Nectar app. They will then receive personalised portion tasks that can be completed on a variety of fresh, frozen and tinned produce. Sainsbury's Nectar scheme, which boasts around 18 million members, provides shoppers with exclusive discounts, and personalised offers. Points earned can be used with a variety of big name brands including Sainsbury's, Argos and Esso.
Alex Naisby, Director of Loyalty & CRM at Sainsbury’s, said: "Through the return of the Great fruit & veg challenge we hope to continue helping our customers enjoy a varied, nutritious diet in a fun and rewarding way. We want to make good, healthy food affordable for everyone, whether that’s through our Low Everyday Prices, Aldi Price Match or Nectar Prices, or personalised prices available to digital customers through Your Nectar Prices.
