SA tourism rising steadily, but not out of the woods yet

In December, the country saw almost one million foreign arrivals with over 2.8 million travellers passing through the country’s ports of entry. Although the number of arrivals is 179% higher than in 2021, it is still around 30% shy of the 2019 travel figures. Stehlik said that domestic airlines should see an increase in capacity with more airlines coming online, stabilising prices which shot up last year.
