Siya Kolisi had all the time in the world for everyone during a tour of his birthplace, Zwide.
Outside the airport, where a bus and several minibuses were waiting, Kolisi came to have a meet and greet with a group of journalists.As the convoy paused for some late arrivals, Kolisi could not wait for the engines to start running. He even went to the driver to hoot a few times while shouting, “Can we go please?”, eager to take us on the tour of the place he calls home.
It is when you enter Zwide that you realise the contrasting worlds that molded Kolisi into the man he is today. As the bus continued through Zwide, Kolisi waved back at the fans lining the streets to see their hero.Rugby is a tough and physical sport, but its challenges are nothing compared with what Kolisi had to go through on his rugby journey.
