Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in Albany Monday.

Lawyers say he'll be giving testimony today, along with other witnesses, trying to settle the question of whether he is a resident of New York or California .Why does his residency matter? While a group aligned with President Joe Biden argues, he actually lives in California .Also, a state's electoral college cannot cast all of its ballots for one presidential-vp team if they're from the same state....

The accusation being that Kennedy is *pretending to be a New York resident so that he and running mate Nicole Shanahan are not both from California, and would still be eligible to get all the electoral ballots there. But in court documents filed last month -- the presidential hopeful said, while he has property and family in California, New York has been his home since he was 10 years old.

So far Monday, it's been mostly procedural...The judge taking a brief recess around 10:30 a.m. to review a series of motions that were filed, with Kennedy expected to testify here today.
