Residents have been left without water due to a leak in the Vyrnwy Aqueduct
Supermarket shelves in Cheshire have been left empty this evening as shoppers have raced to buy bottled water amid an ongoing supply issue.
United Utilities said that work to repair the leak is 'well underway' but apologised for the issues customers are facing, adding they are doing 'all we can' to get service back to normal. Pictures taken this evening show supermarkets sold out of bottled water in the region as customers race to stock up on the essential.
