A major emergency services response was sent to a beauty spot on the border in north Wales.

Watch more of our videos on ShotsTV.comNorth Wales Police said officers were responding to an incident in the Froncysyllte area and that roads surrounding the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct are closed."Officers are in attendance, alongside colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

"The roads surrounding the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct are closed and we are kindly asking people to avoid the area for the time being and take alternative routes where possible."A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.20am to an incident near Pontcysyllte Aqueduct in Trevor. “We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, where the crew was supported by a Cymru High Acuity Response Unit paramedic, an operations manager and the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service in a Wales Air Ambulance charity helicopter.”At 2.46pm the police said all roads surrounding the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct have reopened.
