Renault is electrifying three of its classic van names—Estafette, Trafic, and Goelette—with a trio of all-new electric models built on a shared 800V platform. The vans are designed for maximum functionality and efficiency, offering features like fast charging, Google-based software, and customizable configurations. The Estafette boasts a spacious interior, while the Trafic and Goelette cater to specific needs like urban driving and customization.
Renault is making a big splash in the electric van market with the introduction of three all-new models: the Estafette E-Tech, Goelette E-Tech, and Trafic E-Tech. All three vans share the same 800V platform developed by Renault 's subsidiary Ampere, featuring front-wheel drive and a Google-based software experience. The high-voltage batteries can be recharged to 80% capacity in approximately 20 minutes thanks to the 800V architecture.
The iconic Estafette nameplate returns after being retired in 1980. This new electric van, measuring 17.3 feet long, 6.3 feet wide, and 8.5 feet tall, offers ample space for passengers and cargo. It boasts a large panoramic windshield for improved visibility, a sliding side door with an integrated track, running boards, and a single-piece roller shutter door at the rear. The Estafette is the largest of the three vans, followed by the Trafic and Goelette. The new Trafic E-Tech marks the fourth generation of this popular nameplate, which has sold over 2.5 million units since its debut in 1980. Standing just under 6.2 feet tall, it's perfectly suited for European underground car parks. The Goelette, sharing the same platform as the Trafic, is offered as a chassis cab, box van, or tipper, making it ideal for customization. Renault emphasizes the Goelette's versatile rear section, designed for a wide range of fittings and features. These all-new electric vans will be built in France at Renault Group's Sandouville plant, alongside their Flexis counterparts, with a market launch planned for next year. The Estafette, Trafic, and Goelette are part of Renault's ambitious push to electrify the light commercial vehicle (LCV) segment in Europe
