Paul McCartney's Reddit account appeared to be banned during the weekend after posting photos and videos from a recent concert.

But a Reddit spokesperson told the National News Desk "a technical bug" was to blame. "There was a technical bug that made the account look banned, but no one would ban one of The Beatles," the spokesperson said via email on Tuesday. The former Beatle, 83, shared a Dropbox link on his official Reddit account featuring images and footage from an intimate performance at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. The show had been a phone-free event, and the post was intended to give fans a way to relive the experience. McCartney had just wrapped a rare two-night run at the historic Hollywood venue, where he performed for crowds of about 1,200 people -- a stark contrast to the stadiums he typically fills. The concerts, which were held on Thursday and Friday, marked his first live performances of 2026 and featured a setlist packed with Beatles, Wings and solo-era hits, along with personal stories from his decades-long career. The shows also drew a number of celebrity attendees, including Ringo Starr, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and John Mayer, highlighting the buzz surrounding the intimate performances."The Boys of Dungeon Lane" will be available on May 29. Last week, he revealed the project alongside a new single, "Days We Left Behind," which offers a preview of the album's reflective tone. "This is very much a memory song for me. The album title, 'The Boys of Dungeon Lane,' comes from a lyric in this track. I was thinking just that, about the days I left behind and I do often wonder if I’m just writing about the past but then I think how can you write about anything else?" "It’s just a lot of memories of Liverpool. It involves a bit in the middle about John and Forthlin Road, which is the street I used to live in. Dungeon Lane is near there. I used to live in a place called Speke, which is quite working class. We didn’t have much at all, but it didn’t matter because all the people were great and you didn’t notice you didn’t have much," he added.notes that the 14-track album -- his first solo studio album since 2020 -- is "a collection of rare and revealing glimpses into memories never-before shared, along with some newly inspired love songs." It is described as one of McCartney's most personal works, drawing heavily on his childhood in Liverpool and early memories before global fame with The Beatles. Produced by Andrew Watt, the album blends styles from across McCartney’s career, including Beatles-inspired harmonies and elements of his later solo and Wings-era sound."As well as being packed with poignant reflections, The Boys of Dungeon Lane also includes new love songs in the inimitable.
