GTA developer Rockstar Games has confirmed that it is rereleasing the classic Western Red Dead Redemption for Switch and PlayStation 4, bringing back the game that first launched on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Looks like Red Dead Redemption is moseying onto the Switch and PS4 . Rockstar Games announced today that the “new conversion” is courtesy of Double Eleven, which was founded by former Rockstar developers in 2009. The game launches for the two systems on August 17th, more than a decade after it first showed its hide on the PS3 and Xbox 360. It was followed by a gigantic sequel in 2018.
The game will support several new languages: simplified and traditional Chinese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Latin American Spanish. Despite not being a remake or remaster itself, this Red Dead release follows a very long line of recent video game remakes, which includes Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, Advance Wars, Link’s Awakening, Final Fantasy VII , System Shock, The Last of Us, and upcoming projects like The Witcher and Super Mario RPG.
