Rebecca Ferguson continues to dazzle in the sci-fi genre, thanks to her consistent involvement in numerous movies and TV shows. The actress has several new projects expected to come out in the coming months, including Silo and Dune: Part 3.
And while Ferguson is not expected to have a huge role in Dune's threequel, she steers the ship in Apple TV's top-rated sci-fi phenomenon, Silo, as the lead character, Juliette Nichols. The streaming service has not announced the show's return date, but it has confirmed that Silo will run for two more seasons, which have already been filmed. But ahead of its anticipated return, Silo is once again seeing renewed interest. Streaming data from FlixPatrol shows that the series has generated significant viewership, breaking into the streamer's top ten chart. The series is ranked tenth on the chart at the time of writing, alongside current Apple TV sci-fi heavy hitters such as Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, For All Mankind, and Severance. This surge coincides with major developments in the actress' career. Her new fantasy film, The Magic Faraway Tree, is now playing in theaters, while her latest sci-fi film, Mercy, is currently dominating Prime Video. Additionally, she also appears in the new Peaky Blinders film, The Immortal Man. The Magic Faraway Tree tells the story of a modern family who relocates to the countryside. Their children discover a magical tree with an eccentric resident, and the family is taken on adventures that strengthen their bonds. Ferguson plays one of the eccentric characters, Dame Snap, in the film, also starring Andrew Garfield , Claire Foy , Nicola Coughlan , and Jessica Gunning . In Mercy, Ferguson plays Judge Maddox, an AI judge in a newly established court that judges the defendant based on a multitude of data and executes them when found guilty. Chris Pratt costars as Chris Raven, a detective accused of murdering his wife; he must defend himself before the facts-based judge. Meanwhile, Cillian Murphy's return to the world of Peaky Blinders enlists Ferguson as Kaulo, the main antagonist. Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is currently the most-watched film on Netflix. It also stars Barry Keoghan and Stephen Graham . The cumulative exposure for the actress in these projects must have had a cascading effect, once again bringing her most popular role to the spotlight.
