Some light snow can be expected Friday morning, before warmer weather transitions to rain.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The quiet weather across Southcentral Alaska is coming to an end with some light rain and snow that is already falling across the region Friday morning.
As the precipitation continues north through Cook Inlet this morning, rain and snow should quickly come to an end for inland locations. In locations where snow is falling, quick accumulation looks likely. However, snow should changeover to rain as temperatures warm through the day, with highs expected to top out near 40 degrees.
