Kulai Katanya, jumlah gelandangan di kem terbabit juga berkurangan menjadi 191 orang berbanding jumlah yang diselamatkan iaitu 244 orang sebelum ini.

Pengerusi Jawatankuasa Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat negeri Zaiton Ismail berkata, pusat gelandangan di Kem Wawasan Gunung Pulai yang dibuka pada 4 April lalu mencukupi untuk menempatkan gelandangan yang diselamatkan.

"Seramai 53 gelandangan yang sebelum ini ditempatkan di kem itu sudah dihantar kepada waris keluarga, diambil pihak majikan, dihantar ke Agensi Anti Dadah Kebangsaan dan ada yang dirawat di hospital. "Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat juga memberikan perkhidmatan kaunseling kepada gelandangan ini," katanya ketika ditemui di Kem Bina Wawasan Gunung Pulai, Kulai, hari ini.

Katanya, kelompok gelandangan ini turut menghadiri sesi tazkirah selepas solat fardu bersama Pejabat Kadi Daerah Kulai."Bagi JKM pula, aktiviti santai diwujudkan bagi mengisi waktu lapang kelompok gelandangan ini.
