Johor govt: Malaysians returning from Singapore should plan travel time well

JOHOR BARU: The state government has told Malaysians returning from Singapore to plan their traveling time well to avoid waiting for a long time at the checkpoints.

Johor health and environment committee chairman R. Vidyananthan said that the number of Malaysians returning from Singapore has been increasing since Wednesday .

"However, the number has gone up to an average of about 800 people daily," he said in a statement on Saturday . "Since Friday , the state government has begin using quarantine centres outside of the Johor Baru district such as Kulai, Batu Pahat and Kota Tinggi to place those returning back from Singapore," he said.
