JOHOR BARU: Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has called upon all Johoreans to remain steadfast in their fight against the Covid-19 pandemic despite the changes it has brought to the way Ramadan is observed.
"Muslims won’t be able to perform terawih in mosques while Johoreans in general will have to forego their popular pastime of visiting Ramadan bazaars," he said. "The only way to win this battle is to curb the natural instincts and habits that we have taken for granted for so long."Muslims who fast will understand the discipline required to abstain not only from food and drink, but also ill-feelings and all manner of vice. Now, you can add staying at home to that list for this year," he said.
