Young Sherlock on Prime Video
2025 was a big year for Guy Ritchie, who got the ball rolling by directing several episodes of the hit Paramount+ crime thriller series, MobLand. The show co-stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, and it’s returning for Season 2 later this year with filming expected to wrap any day now.
Ritchie also directed one feature film last year, Fountain of Youth, but it flew under the radar somewhat due to its not being released in theaters. Fountain of Youth was billed as a mash-up of National Treasure and Indiana Jones, with a sprinkle of Uncharted, but the film didn’t resonate with critics or audiences. Still, a cast consisting of John Krasinski, Natalie Portman, and Eiza González has been enough to put the film in the Apple TV top 10 for the entire last year. It’s already been a busy year for Ritchie, who returned to the world of TV with his hit new Prime Video series, Young Sherlock. The series follows a young Sherlock Holmes , as he gets wrapped up in a murder case that threatens his liberty and his life. Prime Video released all eight episodes of Young Sherlocok as a binge on March 4, and the show has been in the streamer’s top 10 for the entire month. Young Sherlock hasn’t been renewed for Season 2, but Prime Video made the first episode of the show available to watch for free on YouTube. It will expire from the YouTube library on April 3 at midnight. This will allow TV fans who are not subscribed to Prime Video to watch the show and decide if it’s worth paying for a subscription. In addition to Tiffin, Young Sherlock also stars Donál Finn, Natascha McElhorne, Zine Tseng, Max Irons, and more. Posts By Macklen Makhloghi When Does ‘The Gentlemen’ Season 2 Come Out? Between his work with Young Sherlock on Prime Video, MobLand on Paramount+, and The Gentlemen on Netflix, Guy Ritchie is building a gangster TV empire strong enough to rival that of Taylor Sheridan. Back in 2024, Ritchie released the first season of The Gentlemen, the Theo James-led crime drama inspired by the 2019 film of the same name. After a two-year wait, The Gentlemen is finally set to return with a new batch of episodes later this year. No release date has been announced, but more information about Season 2 is likely to come sooner rather than later.
