The Jaguars scored in six of the 10 games, also the most since 2019.“I know the fans were happy last year that we were able to put up points,” Levett said. “Of course, we couldn’t come away with victories. I wish I had more guys because the other guys are having to play three ways , so they get tired.
Another issue for Barbour County in the past has been having players start their football career at the high school level. The school is trying to alleviate that program, creating a much-needed middle school team this season. Some of those players will participate with the varsity on Friday nights, giving some additional bodies to the team.
“I was trying to be a good Samaritan and a car lost control coming down the interstate ,” Levett said. “I am just blessed to be here.”On the field, Barbour County has a few returning players from last year, losing just four players to graduation.
