When the Geneva County job came open after the resignation of Josh Thompson, Gilmore became interested in applying for the job in Hartford, which is the hometown of his wife, Jenny. “He is probably one of the best kept secrets in the Wiregrass,” Gilmore said. “No one knows his name, but I’ve got a feeling if things go the way that I think they are this year, then I think a few people may recognize his name at the end of the year.”"Probably one of the more talented quarterbacks I’ve had in my career as far as ability to throw the ball and run,” Gilmore said.
