The green flag drops on the Toyota Owners 400 on Easter Sunday night at Richmond Raceway

Staff Reports Porter Dykes belted a go-ahead three-run homer in the top of the seventh to help Providence Christian rally past South Walton 3-2 in a high school baseball game in Santa Rosa, Fla., on Thursday night.Providence, which had been limited to two hits through six innings, erupted in the seventh to snatch the win away. After a strikeout, Dykes belted the first pitch he saw for a three-run shot to left, scoring both Roman Banner and Rylan Banner, a courtesy runner for McClurkin.

In the opener, all 10 Kinston hitters drove in a run and six had a hit. The Bulldogs scored 15 runs in the fifth inning to break away from a 7-3 lead. For Houston County, Brayson Stephenson and Patrick Bolt had two hits each, while Ben Hunter and Nolan Fair had a single and RBI each. Clay Hand added a double.

Jenkins, the winning pitcher, went six plus innings, giving up the three hits. He struck out one and walked three. Walker got the final three outs, though he walked a batter. After Tyler Martin walked, the Houston pitcher tried to pick off Martin and threw it away, allowing Maund to race around and score to make it 3-1.

Jessie Pelham and Addison Senn both had two hits with Pelham earning a run-scoring single. Both Lawson Leger and Caden Collier had an RBI on a bases-loaded hit by a pitch. Leger also had an RBI during a ground out and throwing error that ended in a double play when he was thrown out trying to go to second.
