Rochester, N.Y. — A recent parolee faces charges after he attacked a woman and stole her car Monday morning at a Rochester General Hospital parking garage, according to police.The victim told police she was sitting in her vehicle when the suspect approached and demanded she get out. The woman said the suspect struck and choked her for several minutes before she was able to escape as the suspect drove off.
The suspect allegedly drove toward a member of New York State Police who was trying to deploy spike strips on Lake Avenue. Isaiah Weathers, 34, is charged with robbery, assault, grand larceny, reckless endangerment and criminal obstruction of breathing.
