Rochester, N.Y. — The Rochester Police Department is launching a program Nov. 1 that aims to help combat overdoses and overdose deaths in the city and across Monroe County.
"This is another tool to get Narcan into the hands of people that need it the most," said Tisha Smith, the county's director of addiction services. "It’s one thing to talk about people, statistics or talk about numbers," Monroe County Executive Adam Bello said. "But at the end of the day, those who are out there struggling in our community, they’re not numbers. These are people."
