As seen in this week’s Bainbridge Township police blotter, an Aurora man, 19 said it was “a stupid mistake” Oct. 13 after he was cited for theft at the Walmart store. He is accused of scooping up items near a closed register and attempting to leave the store without paying for them.
: Police cited a Bainbridge Township teen 11:42 p.m. Oct. 19 after she crashed her car into another one under the US-422 bridge injuring the other driver. Both vehicles were stopped for a traffic light. As the light turned green the teen accelerated her vehicle before the driver in front of her. Bainbridge EMS transported the Cleveland woman, 54, to Ahuja Medical Center for minor injuries. Officers cited the Bainbridge girl for not keeping an assured clear distance from other vehicles.
Walmart employees called police and held the man for questioning after seeing him scoop items off the shelf at a closed register, bag the items and attempt to walk out of the store without paying for them. The merchandise totaled $75.79, including a pocket vacuum, tool set and car wash items.
